It is with great sadness that I write to inform you that Jolan Bell, Mom to us kids and Jo to all her friends, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 5377 E. Washington St. in Irvington.
Jo had struggled in recent years with a variety of physical conditions and just 2 weeks ago we admitted her to Community East Hospital, where she spent 2 weeks attempting to recover.
She requested that we kids bring her home on Tue. Feb 1st so that she could be in the comfort of her own home, so that given her worsening condition, she could pass quickly and join her parents and husband Bob. We all prayed and God answered Jo’s prayers early Wednesday morning.
Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert E. Bell. Jo is survived by her older sister, Jane McMullen, and her children, Jeff Bell (Carol), Steve Bell, Scott Bell, Tammy Quinn (Jim); and by her 4 grandchildren, Cassidy Quinn, Jackie Quinn, Jessica Quinn and Megan Bell.
